OPPRESSION IS NOT NORMAL WITH US. A friends post When a foolish man is been oppressed, he sees it as a norm but when a wise man is been oppressed he goes mad. Sometimes, being a christian in deed is as if being a fool. I stand to be corrected. Monday at 7:03pm Richar Jnr Oshodin To be a Christian is to act like Christ, to behave the way he did. On number of occasions, Christ defended himself, hence the scenario of the popular statement give unto God...and Caeser etc. Christ made this statement in response to what Ill call an attempted oppression by the pharasees. He responded to keep them shut. Even when satan tempted him, he responded to counter, not until the appointed time when he willingly die to fulfil the scriptures, Christ was smarter than any form of oppression. So, we should even do more to raise a standard against any form of oppression. Coming down to the apostles, when Paul was arrested, and he felt he was unduely treated, he wrote an appeal to Caeser in Rome, like writing a head of state to wade into your matter with local court. This to me is conquering oppression. There are several examples Sir. To be a Christian is to be incharge! While Christ was on earth, no religious teacher or what so ever commanded respect, fame, or what ever measure as far as civic law and biblical doctrines was concerned compared to him. What I mean to say is that, he was not found guilty inspite of all that he achieved. A Christian have clean hands, with such hands the road to equity and justice is sure, at worst Angels will wade in to defend a son of God in Jesus Christ. No Christian can be oppressed, if it thus happen, such a one is not a Christian but a believer and there is a difference.
