OPPRESSION! OPPRESSION!! OPPRESSION!!! The Peace loving people of GBARAMATU Kingdom in Warri South West LGA,Delta State have decided to again take their destiny in their hands as they Peacefully Demonstrate to Register thier displeasure,griviances & oppressed state in the Deliberate Non-Inclusion of the IJAW BLOCK (Gbaramatu & Ogulagha Kingdoms) in the ongoing EPZ Multi billion naira project sited in its region by the Itsekiri ethnic nationality. The said EPZ project is sited in hundreds of acres of land own by the Ogidigbein,Gbaramatu, Sokebolou & Yokiri Communities. It is a clear indication that the Ijaw Block as been deliberately excluded in its naming hence only Ogidigbein (Itsekiri) was captured in its naming. Several Publications, Government / Kingdom Leaders engagement held previously has yielded no positive result. This indeed is due to the powers that be in control of delta state owing to thier ancestral affiliation to the itsekiri nation. It is obvious that the long peace and brotherly relationship enjoyed by the Ijaws & Itsekiris within this location is getting bitter by day and if not peacefully addressed and corrected to include the ijaw blocks, it might not be too sweet to swallow for all. Once more, i wish to call on Our President Dr. Goodluck E. Jonathan GCFR, Dr. Emmanuel E. Uduaghan --Executive Governor of Delta State and all stake holders to address this lingering issue with all level of Godliness and bring it to a Win-Win Situation. For us the Ijaw Youths in the IJAW BLOCK...We are watching closely with one eye open. We say NO! NO!! NO!!! to oppression of any sort.....
