OREO Update! Since she was rescued and brought into RVHS theres lots to report. She is super sweet, gentle and loving. This young girl LOVES her belly rubs and has gained 13 lbs! She has all but forgotten her discarded life alone, cold and starving in the forest. She is one amazing & resilient canine. Just look into those beautiful eyes. Sadly there has been a set back, Oreo has tested heartworm positive and has kennel cough. Antibiotics are successfully taking care of her cough. Now she starts treatment for heartworm disease. She will be closely monitored by her physician and RVHS staff, given proper treatment, subsequent testing and follow up until her heart is free of this awful disease. In the meantime staff and volunteers are giving Oreo an endless supply of love and belly rubs! Weve got your back too Oreo. Any donations toward Oreos treatment will be greatly appreciated.
