ORIENTATION # 666 : EVIL INSIDE ________________________________________ When my brother bought a new car long ago he discovered, with great consequential concern, that there was a serious possibility that the assignment of license plates number of the car due to its matriculation most likely was supposed the be the number 666.. He said: -I do not want such number in my car .. its a bearer of bad luck... If that number gets assigned to my plate, then I would rather wait one more month asking for another plate- Thinking attentively, which means thinking beyond our own cultural conditionings and social surface, begets and requires an individual psychological effort and such psychological individual investigation, which must be individual and not contaminated by cultural tracks, must be always there .. particularly along processes of thinking like the one my brother had.. The denial of a number, (which is nothing but a mathematical sequence based on symbols created by men), due to the cultural meanings given to that number .. without an act and effort to think beyond the spectrum of conditioning of what we have been told and its consequential superstitions ... can only nourish individual psychological slavery caging ourselves, with our own hands, in the syncopated limbo of the superstitious thinking .. which is entirely dominated by a package of fear most of the time based on nothing.. As a hypothetical situational experiment; we can take a superstitious person who has not shelter for the night during an extreme winter time .. We can give him or her a room the number of which is 666 and there are no other rooms available .. Then most likely that person will deny the offer.. preferring to sleep on the road .. or even thinking that beyond our offer there is some sort of evil intent.. That person is willing to jeopardize his or her own life (because of the extreme weather) rather than overcoming psychologically a single but so powerful conditioning inherent to a single symbol and its meanings... If the person dies... then it hasnt been the evil what killed that person but rather his or her own conditioned superstition ! (regardless of the insanity in doing an experiment like that : thats just theoretically). Indeed; in regard of such number , 666, .. which is nothing but a number... there is this recondite, almost hidden sense of discomfort when we come across that number ... It doesnt really matter if we are religious or not : we are driving (for example) and we see that number twice ... or we discover that our flight ticket has that number .. and so on.. and something clicks into our mind generating that sense of omen that more or less scares us giving us a more or less noisy unpleasant feeling .. Well, all of these processes of thinking .. the discomfort and so on... do not come from that number.. not at all .. That number, which is nothing but a number ,has no power over our brain : it is not the generator of discomfort, nor it is the fabricator of our sense of fear in regard of some kind of otherworldly supernatural power over us... What scares us .. what gives us such a light, heavy and even paranoid discomfort is not the number and its biblical weight of meanings it carries ... but rather our conditioned mind itself : All of the interpretations .. the reverence... the apprehension, the funk, the awe or whatever its psychological manifestation is ... come from the memory of the meaning of that symbol .. or better to say the meaning we want to give it according with the mental luggage of the conditioned known we carry with us.. It is anthropologically curios to observe how much the mind falters in front of a symbol and meaning without even thinking out of the range of the frightening projection that such symbol or meaning throws into our conditioned brain ... The only existing evil inside... is to be found in the conditioned amount of psychological acts & energies we give away and waste because of our illusory fears of the illusions we ourselves created so to keep our brains in perpetual cultural cages and superstitious enslaving beliefs .. and thats psychologically scandalous.. The attentive mind doesnt care about a traditional meaning: its beyond the traditional value... whatever it is whether the ridiculous fear of the 666, the reversed cross or whatever meaning and significance one likes to use to scares his own brain for nothing ... : Attentiveness is, indeed, para-traditional Psychological freedom can be the real thing..very very real While evil is merely a psychosocial option Nothing but a a deformed seed of existential ignorance ...
