ORIENTATIONS 2014-15 HS Orientation – August 6 6:30 p.m. All 9th grade students and 10, 11, and 12th grade students NEW to Model. Meet in the Library. MS Orientation – August 6 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. Returning 7th and 8th graders may pick up their schedule, agenda books and locker assignment. The fee is $20.00. 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. All 6th graders and 7th and 8th graders NEW to Model will meet in the auditorium. Schedules, agenda books, and locker assignments will be distributed. The fee is $20.00. Model Elementary Meet and Greet We welcome you and your student to come meet your teacher and see your classroom! Stop by the cafeteria for an ice cream treat and meet special teachers. Get your confidentiality training and background checks completed in the library at scheduled times. Monday, August 11 5:00 Pre-K and Kindergarten Parents and Students meet in auditorium. 5:00 NEW students to Model grades 1-5, meet in Library with parents. 5:30 Pre-K, K, and new students visit classrooms 5:45 – 8:00 Grades 1-5 – drop by your classroom 5:30 – 8:00 Ice Cream Treats in the Cafeteria – drop by! Safety Update: The playground will be closed during our Meet and Greet due to safety concerns. All children must stay with their parents at all times. Please do not bring older siblings unless they want to stay with you for the full Meet and Greet. Thank you for your cooperation! Confidentiality and Background Check Trainings: Due to new Kentucky regulations, background checks cost $10. You must bring a check (checks only) made to Model Lab, for $10. Parents must have Confidentiality Training and a Background Check in order to chaperone any field trips or volunteer in the classroom. Pre-K and Kindergarten – will complete training at 5:00 with teachers. Sessions will be held in the library as follows: 6:15 p.m, 6:45 p.m., and 7:15 p.m. The sessions will last about 15 minutes.
