OSCR Consultation on proposals to refocus its approach in governing charities - closing date 24 October - Reminder I would like to remind you of this consultation. These proposals include: revised Annual Return (however, the reporting requirements for charities with an income of less than £25,000 will continue to be kept to a minimum); a move towards online filing for all charities; publishing accounts online (beginning with SCIOs and charities with income of £25,000 or more); development of a trustee database with long term proposals to publish the names of each charity’s trustees on its entry on the Scottish Charity Register (as is currently done in England and Wales); to introduce a Serious Incident Reporting (SIR) regime. I would urge you to look at these proposals and respond to OSCR by 24 October. MVA will be putting in a response – if you wish your comments to be included, please let me have them no later than Tuesday 21 October.
