OSU Global Gateways accepting internship applications OSUs Global Internship Program (GIP) is a non-credit bearing program available to Ohio State students of all majors and backgrounds, providing them with working and learning experiences through project-based internships, themed workshops, personal alumni mentorship and cultural excursions. The comprehensive program package includes extensive orientations, housing, international health insurance, visa application fees and more. The following 12-week internship opportunities are currently available with a number of participating companies in Beijing, Shanghai and other cities in China. Students need not be fluent in Chinese in order to be considered for an internship - while select programs require some Chinese language skills, other internships have no language requirements. Detailed postings, position descriptions, application instructions and program costs can be found at both careers.osu.edu and go.osu.edu/fisherconnect. Program costs are estimated between $2500 and $3500 and remain subject to change (please note that airfare to and from China is not included in these costs, and that students are encouraged to book airfare upon accepting an internship offer). The application deadline for all internship opportunities is Monday, February 3, 2014. Internships will take place during summer 2014. Visit oia.osu.edu/china/programs.html and oia.osu.edu/pdf/GlobalInternshipProgram.pdf for additional information.
