OSUN PILGRIMS ROUND UP WITH VISITS TO THE MOUNT OF TRANSFIGURATION AND WAILING WALL Th second batch delegates to the holy land of Isreal rounded up their tour to the holy land of Isreal with visits to the Mount Tabor and the Wailing Wall. The Mount Tabor which is also called the Mountain of Transfiguration was where Abraham met with King Mechisedek and also the place where Deborah defeated the enemy. The 550 meters high mountain was where Jesus came with three of his disciples and rays of light shone on him prompting the disciples to suggest that it will be appropriate to build three temples here, one for Jesus, one for Elijah and the third for Moses. It was from the arrays of shining beams of light that the voice of God said this is my beloved son, hear ye him. Earlier, the team also took a tour round the Nazareth Area and the Cana of Galilee exploring the city, the city of the Holy Family, Marys well up to the Church of Annunciation where Angel Gabriel met Virgin Mary. The team then visited St. Joseph Church built on the remains of his carpentry shop before moving to the Wedding Church where Jesus performed the first miracle of turning water to wine. The final port of call was the visit to the old city of Jerusalem and the Wailing Wall. The team entered the Old City walls through the Lions Gate also known as St. Stephens Gate or Tribes Gate or Jericho Gate. At the Church of St. Anne, the team met a Catholic priest Father Joseph who said he worked last in Osogbo during his ministerial sojourn in Nigeria . The team now began walking the path Jesus took to his crucifixion -the Via Dolorosa. Starting from the place of the trial presided over by Pontus Pilate in his chamber, walking along the Stations of the Cross to the Golgotha Hill, where he was crucified, buried and resurrected. The fourteen stations with each having its own spiritual meaning were visited while passing through the four gates of Old Jerusalem viz the Lions Gate (East), Damascus Gate (North), Zion Gate (South) and Jaffa Gate (West). In the course of the long trek, the team stopped over at the Wailing Wall to offer prayers and supplication to God
