OSWARD LUTEPO NOW OFFICIALLY ARRESTED BY THE POLICE As we reported on Tuesday that Osward Lutepos wife and children were being threatened by the Police and that the man was contemplating surrendering himself to the Police authorities, the man himself landed back in the country. On Wednesday, he handed himself over to the law enforcing agencies at the national police headquarters in Lilongwe where he is being interrogated. The senior official and main financier for the ruling Peoples Party and a close business associate of President Joyce Bandas two sons, Geoffrey and Roy Kachale faces a wide range of cases including fraud, corruption and murder attempt among others. He is also linked to the arson at ESCOM headquarters in Blantyre where he arranged and financed that incident together with Geoffrey and Roy Kachale. The trio wanted to conceal evidence after they got billions worth of supply contract from ESCOM through dubious means.
