OUR ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE Tyler Parham and I were nominated to do the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. We are thrilled. But, we are not going to dump ice water over our heads or donate to the ALS. Instead, we will continue to treat, care for, love and pray for our patients and friends inflicted with ALS who are continuing to improve every day through functional medicine approaches to health care. We will continue to encourage people to look for the root causes of diseases like ALS because the cure is not found in a pill, procedure, etc. (its several factors working together). And, we will continue to donate our time and money to organizations like the Institute for Functional Medicine, International College of Applied Kinesiology, and American Board of Clinical Nutrition, which focus on health care (prevention/treating the root cause) not disease care (relieving the symptoms).
