OUR BIG GIG - Normanton Park, Warwick Avenue, Derby Sat 13 Jul 2013 3-7pm This event will feature the following performers- Matt Henshaw ReggiiMental, Karnage, Abakus. The event will also include a number of participation activities, including – Lyric writing workshop – Involve members of the community in lyric writing and help them develop the skill to to rhyme and have melody and flow. with Karnage, and Luke Brown – Money Power Respect, Derby Graffiti and Illustration – David Baldaro a well respected artist is coming down to gather people who want to participate at the event and create something to memorialise the day of our big gig. Fitness and Boxing / Tae Kwon Doe – Self defence and coordination training , this is a way to intertwine music with martial arts and actually teach people in a format they can enjoy there selves in a positive environment and also have a routine to take home with Steven Oswald. Tree of thought – An activity that involves everyone at the event and can be saved as memorabilia. Each person to attend is given a leaf and write down a thought of the day or an emotion on how it has made them feel , then we add the leaf to the tree. Acoustic Zone – Putting lyrics to some acoustic guitar. Involving anybody who wants to take part in the arrangement, Song type or choice is open with Matt Henshaw.
