OUR BLOOD CANNOT SAVE US LORD: SPEAK WITH VEANGEANCE ON BEHALF OF THE INNOCENT It baffled (and still baffles) me when the abduction of over 200 school girls in Chibok won global sympathy while the murder of over 200 people in Southern Kaduna (my people), in Maiduguri, in Plateau State, Adamawa, Kano, Damaturu, etc. could not win even the sympathy of their State governments whose shirking in responsibility gave birth to the killings in the first place (at least that is the case in Kaduna State). I am shocked by this (in)human wisdom (folly). I said it then and repeat it now that if the Chibok girls had been killed, the world would have chosen to mind its business as if the death do not deserve justice. But why such misappropriation of wisdom, why? Two nights ago, the people of Rikawan and Fadan Karshi, two villages in the place of my origin in Kaduna South, Kaduna State, went to sleep and while they were yet asleep, their sworn enemies who have become experts at visiting nocturnal mayhem on unsuspecting villagers, purportedly Fulani settlers a.k.a UNKNOWN GUNMEN, laid siege to these villages as they had been doing since 2011, and in these two separate attacks over 50 unarmed, peace-loving, innocent villagers were murdered in cold blood by the agents of darkness. No words of condemnation from government of the State or Federation, no measures in place to protect the people. While the nature of attacks is clear (nocturnal), the government is indifferent - yes! the irresponsible, sectionalistic government is pleading not guilty of complicity in the annihilation, genocidal agenda of the sons and daughters of Satan. How could one divorce this recurring decimal from the conspicuous ineptitude, crass incompetence and increasing irresponsibility of the government of the state? Yet the government remains unmoved, issuing threats to the victims of killings, to either take it as an act of God or act otherwise to their detriment. Men have failed us: even members of the legislature representing our people at both state and federal levels have sold us out, they have chosen to be quiet about our plight instead of speaking out for the world to hear. Cowards! Cowards! Cowardice! Lord, to whom shall we go, you alone have the message of life. And so we have come to you! Lord we admit our sinfulness and our inconsistency in following you who are the way Lord, against You, You alone, have we sinned and what is evil in your sight we have done No one of us is faultless - our parents our elders, our men and women and children and the children of our children Lord, we also know that our blood is not needed to make your blood more efficacious - your blood speaks better things than the talking blood of the first murdered innocent man. If our blood cannot save us, then your blood Lord should speak for us. For the sake of your good name - Speak For the sake of your tender mercies - Speak For the sake of your loving kindness - Speak Out of the sea of your forgiveness - Speak For the increase of the Faith of your people - Speak Speak Lord, do not be silent. Speak Lord, do not be angry forever Speak Lord, do not allow our enemies ask Where is your God? Speak Lord, do not allow our faith in you to be crushed Lord, for once, speak with fury and vengeance in your voice. Let our enemies testify that we serve a God, rich in mercy and slow to anger, merciful but also a consuming fire. Lord, release those angels called the hunters and the fishers to execute judgment upon the enemies of Southern Kaduna, especially, of Kaduna State, of the middle belt and of our nation Nigeria at large. Whether they be beasts or spirits, flesh or blood, let the fishers fish them and the hunters hunt them ALL and let the archers hit them without fail. Let he/she who can fast do so today and pray the prayer above hourly. As a people, all of us in SK must take heed and know that God says If my people, on whom my name is named, make themselves low and come to me in prayer, searching for me and turning from their evil ways; then I will give ear from heaven, overlooking their sin, and will give life again to their land. 2Chr. 7:14 God Protect us all!
