OUR CHILDREN::::He sees the world so differently than us....he is our six year old son Nick. Diagnosed with autism, with many special needs....he has been the light of our life. Nicholas has given us meaning to our life and helped us strive to be better parents. Despite having many special needs, Nicholas has an amazing heart. When he asked us about doing a sock drive in collaboration with his sisters food drive, it warmed our hearts. As his parents, Joey Hernandez and I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for our son. Leigh Ross Husband what can I say but thank you, thank you, thank you. A huge thank you to Gulliver Preparatory for all of your kindness and generosity toward my son. WOW!!! I cant get over the two huge boxes of socks you sent..... Yaritza Yary Roman....god bless you.....Kathleen OMalley you have indeed inspired others through your values....Thank you for encouraging your students. Thank you Susan Ross, Patrick Ross, Melissa Budney Riescher, Tommy Ferazi, JoAnn Meineke Ferazi so much for your generous donations of socks. (Hope I didnt forget anyone :) What you all did was not only help the homeless people ..but you gave our son confidence and inspired him to do for others. You showed him and other parents who might be raising children with special needs, that children with special abilities can indeed make a difference in this world!!! Another huge thank you to Laurie Kalinowski and Purple Circle for taking this long trip here to LONG ISLAND from Manhattan with many boxes of food for Rebeccas food drive generously donated from your preschool aged children.... (They even decorated the boxes!!!) Nancy Bernal god bless you for your continued generosity and food for the food drive. Another big thank you for the clothes and bike for our neighbors kids who lost their job. Troop 1107 thank you for all of the support you have given to our daughter and our son. You have instilled amazing values in our daughter and have helped her be a generous person. As leaders....you have served as amazing role models for our daughter and the other children.
