OUR DAY OF BIRTH By H. Bruce Henningsi Being born into the world, Is a miracle, a gift, a magical journey of life, living, love. It is more than a prize to cherish, and more than a gift wrapped in colorful paper, tied with a bow, kissed by God. Our birth is a chance to live, to grow, to become what we want to become, and to be proud of the path we chose to walk, to skip, to run, to reach for stars, when standing is our first step, walking, is our way of standing tall, and standing, is not always easy, and sometimes we fall. Yet, we strive to live life to the fullest, to grab the brass ring, to watch rainbows, to climb hills of wildflowers, and to wish upon the stars, and to thank God for the ability to be ourselves, or, just to be. Our birth is an honor, a wondrous event. it is the day we become one with the world, the day we become a part of all that is, and always will be. it is the first day of existence, the first day of life, the first day we cry, the first day we become who we were meant to be. this day is the day we blow out candles, and make wishes and eat cake, and open presents, and thank God that we have made it this far, and realize we are one with the universe, and we are an intricate part of Mankind, on this day of our Birth, we are born to do, oh so many wondrous acts of love, of joy, And to look up at the heavans, and Know, We are the keepers of our fate, or future, And hope, as the candles fade, All our wishes will come true.
