OUR FATHER UNDERSTANDS........ FOR WE HAVE NOT AN HIGH PRIEST WHICH CANNOT BE TOUCHED WITH THE FEELING OF OUR INFIRMITIES; BUT WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED LIKE AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN. HEBREWS 4:15 Take a minute and meditate on the majesty, glory and sovereignty of our God; He is glorious, full of splendor, all mighty, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. And whatever image our minds can create I promise you is not even close to the real deal. Sometimes when we look at how great God is, it’s easy to believe that He cannot possibly understand our problems on a relational level. Sure we know that He knows all things, but does He really relate with our feelings? Does He feel what we feel? David exemplifies the comparison in Psalm 8:4 saying WHAT IS MAN, THAT THOU ART MINDFUL OF HIM? AND THE SON OF MAN, THAT THOU VISITEST HIM? PSALM 8:4 But beloved, I assure you that our Father is not detached from us, He does deeply understand how we feel. Yes, the Father relates to our desire to be with someone, He relates to our desire for love, affection and care, yes He relates with our need for attention, our desire to be free, He relates with the pains of offense and unforgiveness. There is nothing we can bring before the Father, or that we have gone through that He does not relate to. Listen to Him in Ezekiel; AND THEY THAT ESCAPE OF YOU SHALL REMEMBER ME AMONG THE NATIONS WHITHER THEY SHALL BE CARRIED CAPTIVES, BECAUSE I AM BROKEN WITH THEIR WHORISH HEART, WHICH HATH DEPARTED FROM ME, ...........EZEKIEL 6:9 He said “...I am broken with their whorish heart...” Wow!!! Broken ? How and why should the Father be brokenhearted ? Yes He felt it when their heart departed from him..... Yes He has feelings..... He is jealous over you.... Beloved, have you ever felt broken, weak, tired and pressed down in the heart? We all have. What else is there that we deal with? Temptation of sin, lust, anger, pride? Hebrews 4:15 above shows us that our Lord Jesus Christ was also tempted at ALL points. Jesus knows what it’s like to be rejected, He knows what it’s like to be attacked and hated, He knows what it’s like to be a stranger and to feel alone, He understands anger, and He definitely understands condemnation. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Heb.4:13 It is the work of the enemy that tries to make us believe we cannot come to the Father on our issues. If Adam had the knowledge of God’s Fatherliness things would have been a lot different. But beloved, we have a better knowledge of Him now. We no more have a reason to hide our problems, weaknesses, temptations from Him, this is the secret to getting Him on our side, and this is one of the many ways to increase in the knowledge of Him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Ps.103:14 Be open with Him and trust Him, and His understanding will fill your heart. May you feel the warmth of His embrace this day in Christ Jesus Name.
