Please submit headshots/resumes to: enterthedojoshow@gmail General Production Information Enter the Dojo is a mockumentary style (i.e. “The Office”) comedy web-series created by Matt Page in 2011. The show consists of 17 episodes and over 60 videos across 2 seasons, and recently surpassed 3,000,000 total views on YouTube. We are a SAG/AFTRA New Media production, meaning we are able to work with both Union and Non-Union actors. As such, lunches will provided every day of shooting, but due to budgetary restrictions we will only be able to compensate a select number of large, featured parts. Key Dates Auditions: Friday, June 28th Between 5pm and 8pm Saturday, June 29th Between 10am and 6pm (Please note: all actors will be given a specific time within these windows) Shooting: Friday, July 19th, Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st Friday, July 26th, Saturday, July 27th and Sunday, July 28th 2 days in early August TBD Roles FOUR ATTACKERS: TAE KWON DO GUY KENPO GUY MMA GUY NINJA – Must have stunt and/or martial arts experience Male (20s to 40s) These four thugs confront Master Ken and intend to teach him a lesson for bad mouthing their martial arts. KIM BURLE – THE HENCHMAN Male (20s, Korean) A senior student of Master Ken’s rival Linnnn Da, Kim is a talented and aggressive martial artist who will happily fight anyone. Martial arts experience required. KEVIN THE HOBO Male (30s) A wise, articulate and compassionate man who offers pearls of wisdom to all the students in the Dojo. MARGARET – ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR Female (30s) Margaret takes her job organizing activities for the elderly residents of the Withering Pines Retirement Community very seriously. She is used to being in control but when she invites Master Ken to fill in for her Tai Chi instructor she is quickly pushed to the edge of her sanity. MAYA – YOGA INSTRUCTOR Female (20s-30s) Maya does her best to remain peaceful and serene but when Master Ken dismisses her teachings as “B.S.” she is happy to prove him wrong. NEWS REPORTER Female (20s-30s) A professional with a keen eye for a good story, she quickly suspects that Master Ken is not as he appears to be. KID’S CLASS AMERI-DO-TE STUDENTS We are looking specifically for children in the 5 to 8 year old age range that look like the following characters from the show: MASTER KEN BILLY CYNTHIA RACHEL STEVEN TODD POLICE OFFICERS 2 Male, 2 Female (30s-40s) These seasoned officers are more than skeptical of Master Ken’s philosophy when it comes to fighting in “The Street”. ELDERLY RESIDENTS 4 Females, 4 Males (50s to 70s) These members of Withering Pines are absolutely terrified of Master Ken. YOGA STUDENTS 2 Male, 4 Female (20s) These individuals are noticeably more fit than any of Master Ken’s Ameri-Do-Te students. Actual yoga experience preferred.
