(OUR GUARDIAN ANGLES) How important are angles in your daily life? Even though a number of Americans do not believe in the existence of angles, a growing interest continues. (Psalm 91:11 God created all the angles. Some of them sinned and are forever rejected by God. Those angles are cunning, powerful, of great number, enemies of God and of man. Chief of the evil angles is Satan. The good angles minister to those whom God has delivered from the bondage of sin through His Son, Jesus. They are sent by God to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone (Psalm 91:12). Gods angles are invisible, sinless, and created with great power. Even though we cannot see them, they have and will continue to keep us from all harm and danger. Martin Luther, in his Morning and Evening Prayers, prays: Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me (Small Catechism, Daily Prayers). May we not take Gods angels for granted, but thank God for the blessing of His angels on our journey through life. (mak)
