OUR MISSION ============ Again, our goal is to counter and offset the CONs voter suppression tactics to reach the estimated 10 million eligible voters in 2015 and convince them to vote in order to stop Harper from destroying Canada. Right now the focus is on our Election 15 Workbook which will be subsidized by CONs be Gone! merchandise, soon to come on board, as well as straight out patronage. Theres another Reach the Masses idea churning away in the back of my head, a project that, if to go forward, should soon be in the planning stages. Every time I watch the Playing For Change version of Stand by Me, (which I will add to this post), I am awed at its reach. As at today it has been viewed 66,814,767 times! Imagine if our group also created a new catchy Canadian song called Cons be Gone! which could become part of our merchandise line. Meant to get the apathetic crowd thinking, I see a song that could be foremost amusing in its content but nailing many valid points home. Lets call it the Rick Mercer theory of waking people up! As a preliminary suggestion, each verse could be followed with a chorus whose last line could be: Enough is Enough! CONs be Gone The list of topics is endless. As at today, Sept 9/14, Im nearing 1900 Reasons NOT to Vote for the CONs. Heres a few for your mental taste buds. * Mike Duffy / $90,000 cheque. * Nigel Wright under the bus * Hides in foreign bathrooms. * Screws Quebec, ( I have a long list) * Told Obama he would not take no for an answer. * Stop Order from Yoko re: stealing Lennons song. * Transparency & Accountability lie. * Etc Etc Etc Etc! I am very good friends with a recording studio in Carlisle, Ontario. Hes also a musician who could, like in Stand By Me, lay down a track to follow, send it to interested musicians across Canada, who could be taped doing it themselves. he could them produce a studio version say adding a musician for each verse. If there are people in this Group across Canada who know capable musicians who may want to volunteer for such a worthy project, lets start same right here, right now by commenting below if you do know one.
