OUR NEW COVER PICTURE :- STEPHEN’S AMAAAAAAZING DAY OUT ! Dear Comrades and Friends , There’s nothing sadder than a middle-aged man acting like a kiddie on the night before Christmas , however Your Not-So-Humble Narrator excitedly informed EVERYONE from his teachers to random passers-by on City streets where he was going last FRI . My most grateful thanks to Lieutenant Colonel Burr , Commanding Officer , 5th/6th Battalion , The Royal Victoria Regiment , for inviting us Old Diggers to a live-firing exercise at Puckapunyal . Our Escort Officer , W.O. 2 Lines , was a patient , courteous fund of information on today’s ARMY and LCPL Rodger , our driver , very kindly took us past our old barracks . Why IS it that memories of screaming Corporals evoke such nostalgia ? Hmmm .
