OUR NURSES GET QUALITY TRAINING When we put nurses in the field - TopicsExpress

OUR NURSES GET QUALITY TRAINING When we put nurses in the field to administer medication and care for Ebola patients, we expect them to operate at an utmost level. To achieve this, two infectious disease specialists from the World Health Organization (WHO), Lul Raka & Monica Guardo conducted an intensive training for all 12 nurses partaking in our Home Care Service. Topics taught during this training included: Handling basic and enhanced PPE, Infection Prevention and Control, Waste Disposal, Hand Washing, Hand Rub, Glove Removal, Avoiding Common Mistakes, etc. This was very necessary to prepare nurses for the challenges faced by health workers during this Ebola outbreak. Because of this training they are now contributing immensely to contain the disease. But it is our duty to prepare them for the field by providing PPEs, sanitizers, gloves and much needed medication for patients. All this work is finally yielding success and we will surely report to you on the communities weve made Ebola-free. We have to push harder to replicate this success in other communities. That is why we need you to continue your support to us. Remember that we are all in this together. As our people begin to regain hope, we must continue the good work we started.
