OUR SOURCE AND SEASON FOR FRUITFULNESS . When a tree is planted by the rivers of water, it brings forth fruits in his season (Psalms 1:3). But when a tree is planted in the true Vine, Jesus Christ, within the Vineyard of God, then that tree should bring forth fruits in all seasons. . To be planted in the Vineyard of God or in the true vine is better than being planted by the river of waters; that is the more reason the trees planted in the true Vine is required to bring forth much fruit than is required from a tree planted in the river of water. . Know that the LORD is our season and our source, when we are planted in the true Vine. The reason a tree requires season is because its source alone is not sufficient to supply all its need – so it depends on season to supply the remaining strength. Jeremiah (17:8) said that when a tree is planted by the waters and its root spread by the rivers, it shall not see when heat comes; but its leaves shall be ever-green, and shall not be careful during drought or dry season; and it shall not cease from yielding fruits. . But the best place to be planted as tree is in the vineyard of God and on the true Vine, Jesus Christ: He is both the source and the season for our fruitfulness and strength. Those who do not abide in Him and allow His word to abide in them shall not bear fruit because they are out of line with their source and their season. For without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:4-5). . Here it is: “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can you, except you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.” (John 15:4-5)
