OUR STABILITY IS IN THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD NOT POLITICAL PARTIES Isa 33:6 And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure. The instability, uncertainty, and volatility within the political and economic structures of our day is causing a lot of agitation for everyone to deal with. There is a whole lot of shaking going on and there doesn’t seem to be any signs of diminishing any time soon. As children of God we have access to inside information that gives us insight how everything is going to turn out and how to navigate through these unpredictable times. The prophet Isaiah said that what would give us stability is the wisdom and knowledge of God. We need to be in our Bibles everyday so that the loudest thing speaking inside our head is the wisdom and knowledge of God. This manifold wisdom Ephesians 3:10 is insight perfectly suited to our situation to stabilize us and strengthen us in times of manifold tests and trials 1 Peter 1:6. A wise man will hear and have an ear for this wisdom (Proverb 1:5) through: 1. Prayer Ephesians 1:16-18; James 1:5. 2. The Scriptures 2 Timothy 3:16, 17. 3. Our spirit 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2:9, 10. 4. Wise counsel Proverb 11:14; Proverb 13:20. 5. Observing natural creation Proverb 30:24-28; Romans 1:20. Amidst all the political and economic instability of our times, I’m also sticking with my political affiliation through all of this mess going on in America. The prophet Daniel described my party affiliation in Daniel 7:13, 14, like this, “13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Isaiah the prophet lets us know that when He comes into office, He will not be up for reelection or subject to being voted out of office “6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this Isa 9:6-7.”
