OUT OF MY MIND – Random thoughts that loosely tie together OK, some of you know that I am a gun owner and support gun ownership; but I also freely admit that guns are one of the most dangerous and deadly things a person can own (other than their minds). Those who argue that there is no inherent danger in guns are simply liars – if they weren’t dangerous they wouldn’t be very well suited for self defense, so please don’t lecture me on gun safety – it’s not about the gun, it’s about the person holding it. And when I see some of the bozos who are out there celebrating Open Carry it scares the crap out of me. That said, some people who may desire self defense in their homes but are uncomfortable with guns might want to consider this tip: Wasp and Hornet Killer in a spray can have about a 20 foot range (perfect for indoor use) and will incapacitate an attacker – spray it in their eyes and they are out of commission. You could make a very attractive cover to wrap around the can and keep them handy near your bedside if you are paranoid and feel the need for protection. Which brings me to a question someone else asked but it hit me pretty well: If cockroaches can survive a nuclear bomb WTF do they put into a can of Raid? Be careful with that stuff – and watch out for it, there is no required background check to purchase it!
