OUTLINE IN FLAMES: THE NEW GARGOYLE REPUBLIC After a long, hardfought victory, the Minion War Invasion into France and the Alps comes as a demoralizing blow to the NGR, which swiftly finds itself cut off from its North American trade partners, and now pressed in by armies of Demons, Deevils, Brodkil, and refugee Gargoyles. The presence of the renegade Gargoyles is the entire reason why Demons and Deevils have attacked Europe before North America can be secured. The Demons in North France, which have already absorbed the local cults of Blood Druids to their side, wish to capture the Gargoyles and press them back into service. The deevils under the command of Queen Marauder are instead trying to recruit the renegades against their former masters. But in the end, the Gargoyles will reject both offers in favor of their freedom, and hence an unlikely alliance between the NGR and the Gargoyles will begin, and forever change their relationship. While mainland Europe erupts in war, the magic-rich British Isles will be strangely quiet. Nexus points controlled by Millennium Trees, Stone Pyramids, or with bonded Rifts are unusable as Hell Pits, so for now England is a low prioity target. But with Europe in crisis, the powerful magic factions of England and Scotland are in position to emerge as great heroes. First and foremost are the Knights of New Camelot, but the druids, Fomorians, and Celtic gods will also find themselves with skin in the fight. Other pantheons besides the Celts have active followings in Europe, and unlike the Egyptian Gods of Light, are not restricted in their involvement in the Minion War. Many of their number are distracted with parts of the war being waged in other dimensions, yet the pantheons of Asgard and Olympus will find ways to assist their mortal followers. The NGR has had one active ally since the Invasion: the New Navy, whose presence in several coastal battles has been declassified to provide a morale boost to the troops. They may also soon find the Slugorth on their side, as the interdimensional slavers have control of London, which they can use as a staging ground for Kittani, Kydian, Metzla, and Staphra forces deployed into the European theater. It will be strange, to say the least, when the NGR and Gargoyles ally and start mingling their forces. Surprisingly, the Gargoyles and NGR troops will work together well, and they may survive the Minion War to find themselves a dramatically different nation.
