OUTSTANDING! Dr. Kelli Sandman-Hurley of the Dyslexia Institute spreads awareness on her local news channel. (Story starts at minute 18:17) Dr. Kelli Sandman-Hurley is interviewed with a Special Education Director from a San Diego school. The director attempts to make it look like the school district is doing a great job, but Dr. Kelli and the news host hone in on pertinent questions and do not walk away from the questions until there is a real answer. Basically, the Special Ed Director admits there are big gaps and the school is not doing enough. Dr. Kelli is professional and states the facts clearly that this is a problem not only in San Diego school districts but in every school in the United States. I hope this starts a huge uproar of parents in the San Diego school district and our movement becomes stronger with more educated and empowered parents.
