OVERCOMERS Lets be honest, we can put a positive spin on going through trials like Kelly Clarkson sings what doesnt kill you makes you stronger, but truthfully going through tough times STINKS. When we are in the midst of a given trial, the LAST THING we want to hear is dont worry, be happy. So, what can we do when life is not how we planned it? When roadblocks seem everywhere and our faith is waning? A simple statement: HOLD ONTO TRUTH When we go through hard times, one of the things our enemy (satan) uses is to convince us to believe LIES. That we might convinced that things will NEVER get better which ultimately leads us to a place of despair. THIS is a classic tactic and I believe its the source of SO many people falling into depression in our world. We MUST be careful to guard our hearts and fill our minds with TRUTH. Here is one of the GREATEST PROMISES in the entire Bible: The light [Jesus] shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:5 NIV) You will certainly be SHAPED by your circumstances BUT you dont have to be DEFINED by them! Believe the truth and reject the lies. You are an OVERCOMER!
