OVERVIEW: Cara Mia is a 2011 Friesian/Andalusian mare standing right at 15h with three lovely uphill, easy-to-ride gaits. She has a super brain, work ethic, a people-horse and is not afraid of anything. Mia shows a nice aptitude for jumping, however, this girl will truly excel in the dressage ring. She has a natural ability to balance on her hind leg and is learning very quickly how to work through her body, engaging her back, and working forward to the bridle. Lovely connection with super natural lateral ability. Flying changes will be super expressive on this one! Rides out alone or in a group. Even leads the pack down the road and has gone fox hunting, too! No lunge necessary. Very impressed with this girl! FIRST SHOW UPDATE: Mia went to her first show at the end of September and handled everything like a pro. Even with numerous other young horses working around her, she was calm and collected. She scored a 75% at Intro A and 70% at Intro B (she was a little tired by then) earning her Intro Reserve Champion! SECOND SHOW UPDATE: Lindsay Cooper of Kismet Sporthorses rocked the intro classes with coming 4 year old Cara Mia at the Dallas Dressage Club Schooling Show scoring in the 70s in all three classes! Thank you Lindsay Cooper for continuing to do such a great job with my girl! Very amateur and Junior friendly. THIRD SHOW UPDATE: Amateur rider Holli won the Intro Championship (over all Intro riders) at the Fairfield Dressage Schooling Show in November. Scores in the high 60’s Holli’s first show with Mia. FOURTH SHOW UPDATE: Amateur rider Holli added Mia to the Intro canter class at the Dallas Dressage Club Schooling Show scoring a very solid 65%. Now on Winter Break from Dressage Shows, we will be attending clinics, fox hunting & having a blast at some fun shows. Good miles, good smiles. Located in Springtown, TX, Mia is priced at $18k firm.
