OVERVIEW This is an excellent opportunity for a student to develop a career within Marketing and in particular social media. Careers and Employability are offering a paid work experience opportunity to a highly creative and keen individual. Your role will be to support the Careers & Employability Marketing team on a weekly basis, throughout 2013/2014. You will work within the Careers & Employability Marketing Team and will join the Marketing Manager and Assistant in delivering: - Marketing Planning & Implementation Social Media Planning & Implementation Website Feedback & Development Promotional Film Making Market Research On a weekly basis you will be responsible for working with the Marketing Manager and Assistant to help with: - Offering your feedback on campaign ideas and marketing tools Optimising our social media presence Collecting and collating student feedback Utilising any design or media skills you have that could support the aims and objectives of Careers & Employability You will be required to work from the Careers & Employability office for 4 hours per week during semester time; where you will be given direction and support by the Marketing Manager and Assistant. You will also be expected to report back weekly on the activity you have undertaken and any successes, issues etc you have experienced. The weeks you will be expected to work are: - Autumn Semester 2012 - start Thurs 26th September, weekly until Fri 22nd November (8 weeks) Spring Semester 2013 - start week commencing Mon 27th January, weekly until Fri 11th April (9 weeks) Summer 2013 - start week commencing Mon 12th May, weekly until Fri 13 June (4 weeks). We are aware that these dates fall within the examination period; however we do have employer events taking place and would like support with promoting these. We will of course be flexible with hours and working arrangements during this period. In total you will complete 21 working weeks in the Academic Year 2013 – 2014 and a proposed 84 hours.
