As a community we raised $31,495 to date to support our school. These funds are already being put to work in the form of supporting literacy programs throughout the school. Mrs. Bannister, our librarian, has been hard at work developing leveled reading sets and guided reading libraries for each classroom- come by the library to check it out! The generosity of K- 5 STEM families in terms of resources, time, and care is inspiring! Many of you have heard that STEM’s K-8 expansion is moving forward with a 6th grade roll up being planned for next year, 2015-16. A K-8 Exploration team is will be pulling together planning details during the coming weeks. On Dec. 4 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, the STEM community is invited to attend the K-8 Meeting preceding the PTA meeting to hear an update and provide feedback on initial plans. An information night for 5th grade families is being planned for the week before winter break.
