OWWA RWO3 NOW OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE PRE-DEPARTURE EDUCATION PROGRAM (CPDEP) FOR HSWs July 10, 2013 at 1:50pm San Fernando City -- The OWWA RWO3 is now offering classes under the Comprehensive Pre-Departure Education Program (CPDEP) for household service workers (HSWs) bound for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia starting July 8, 2013. This is a 2-day training for HSWs which includes discussions on migration realities and employment contact. It also consists of language training, culture familiarization and stress management to prepare them for working in households in the KSA. Participants will also be oriented on the Agency’s programs and services, such as the scholarship and reintegration programs. Language instruction is given to HSWs to familiarize them with simple words used in everyday conversation and to help them interact responsively with their foreign employers in performing their jobs. The training will also aid OFWs in the foreign country to transact properly in markets, malls, police and embassies. Arabic culture and language classes are conducted every Monday-Tuesday and Wednesday-Thursday at the regional welfare office in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
