Make sure to squish it to blend well. Keep stored in freezer for up to 3-4 months. Freezing your mixes will keep it from getting bugs into it since there are no preservatives. TO MAKE: When ready to prepare your instant oatmeal, remove from freezer at least 30 min before cooking. This will allow your mix-in items to thaw and cook better. Pour oatmeal into a 2 cup dish. Add 1 cup of either milk or water. Stir well. Microwave 1 1/2 min. Remove and stir again. Enjoy your new creations of a bowl of oatmeal. Makes enough for 1 large bowl or 2 small bowls. Mix-In Ideas: Bacon Breakfast Oatmeal: Add 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 slice of crispy bacon, crumbled and 1 Tbsp. maple syrup. Yes, you can pour the syrup into the bag. It will thaw when you follow above directions. Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal: Add 1 Tbsp. maple syrup. Apple Pie Oatmeal: Peel and dice 1/2 baking apple. Microwave 30 secs on high. Allow to cool 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tsp. cinnamon & 1/4 tsp. nutmeg to oatmeal mix. Blend well. When apples are cooled, add and blend. Apricot Spice: 1/4 c. diced dried apricots & 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice. Raisin Nut Oatmeal: Add 1/4 c. raisins, 3 Tbsp. chopped nuts, 1 tsp. cinnamon. Choco-Fluff Oatmeal: Add 2 Tbsp. chocolate chips, 10 mini marshmallows, and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal: Add 1 tsp. cinnamon & 1/4 cup raisins.
