Obama Admin Knew Millions Couldnt Keep Their Coverage; You remember President Obama promising, “if you like your health plan, you will be able to keep your health plan,” right? As recently as 2012, he was still saying, “If [you] already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance.” Now, a new NBC News investigative report has revealed that the administration has known for as long as three years that those claims werent true: President Obama repeatedly assured Americans that after the Affordable Care Act became law, people who liked their health insurance would be able to keep it. But millions of Americans are getting or are about to get cancellation letters for their health insurance under Obamacare, say experts, and the Obama administration has known that for at least three years. Outrageous. President Obama has known for three years now that people who liked their plans couldnt keep them, and yet he was still making that claim as recently as last year. Why is this happening? Phil Kerpen explains: Because in one of the first of many lawless abuses of executive authority to distort, ignore, or rewrite the law, President Obama issued a shameful regulation just months after the law was passed known as the Grandfathered Plan Rule that – in blatant violation of the president’s famous promise embodied in Section 1251 – terminated the overwhelming majority of plans in the individual market by invalidating grandfather status for minor routine changes of the sort that most plans have always made annually. This just underscores how much of an unmitigated disaster ObamaCare really is.
