Obama has fired 200 conservative General and Flag Officers patriots so he can put wimps in charge that want to screw ACTIVE Duty and RETIRED Veterans. They are trying to force veterans onto OBAMACARE. According to today’s edition of The Washington Post, Barack Obama, Defense Secretary, Chuck Hagel, and the President’s hand-picked Joint Chiefs of Staff are asking Congress to make deep cuts in military pay and health benefits! If Congress decides to heed the Joint Chiefs’ advice and slice military health benefits by raising the intentionally low TRICARE premiums paid by active troops and military retirees, those who can’t afford the new rates could find themselves shopping for insurance in the Obamacare Exchanges! One week ago today, Chief of Naval Operations, Adm. Jonathan Greenert told senators: “About 50 percent of every Defense Department dollar goes to personnel predominantly as compensation. And if we keep going this way, it’ll be at 60, and then it’ll be at 70 in about a decade plus. ... I think it’s our responsibility to take a hard look at it.” Instead of lobbying Congress to end Sequestration and give the military enough money to do its job, he told Congress the DOD could make its current budget work better if legislators slash active military pay and raise the TRICARE premiums paid by active troops and retired vets! The other Joint Chiefs followed the Admiral’s lead and listed the following programs they’re “studying” in order to suggest which ones could be cut “reduced” to “balance” DOD spending: “Reduction in active pay increases, reduced retirement pay and benefits, higher premiums for retirees for TRICARE (the broad medical support program for active and retired service personnel and their families), higher co-pays for pharmaceuticals, smaller off-base housing allowances and the commissary system.” The Navy’s top commander did, however, advocate that any changes made to the benefits Congress does decide to cut should be “transparent and reversible.” Adm. Greenert also added: “When costly programs such as pay, housing or TRICARE are changed, less-expensive benefits such as tuition assistance, other training, and child care must be maintained.” Retiring Republican Senator, Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), responded to DOD requests for personnel pay cuts by giving the senior military commanders a list of programs that could be cut instead of benefits, which weren’t listed by the joint chiefs. Those cuts included hundreds of millions of dollars in medical research done by DOD personnel that is duplicated by the National Institutes for Health, which he argued, “simply have no place, in my opinion, at [the Defense Department].” Chambliss also condemned the expenditure by DOD revealing, “there is not real coordination between the... medical research done at NIH and what is done at DOD.” The list of DOD medical research that could easily be cut from the Defense budget instead of slashing personnel salaries and healthcare benefits includes: “$150 million a year for breast cancer research, plus $80 million for prostate cancer research, $25 million for ovarian cancer and more for lung cancer and other diseases.” - See more at: libertynews/2013/11/are-new-proposed-military-tricare-premium-cuts-pay-decreases-designed-to-force-military-personnel-to-sign-up-for-obamacare/#sthash.YinfcQuW.dpuf
