Obama once again is demonstrating his inability and ineptness in the charge of the office he holds, coming across as more a Barney Fife than a leader if the free world. This time it is with the situation in Crimea. Obama has become used to bullying the American people and perhaps it was with this attitude he approached Vladimir Putin, a man who before becoming the President of Russia rose through the ranks of the KGB, and like most bullies stalled when his bullying was met without fear. There are many sides to this crisis, many points to ponder. Yes, Putin is a redentist, and I can easily understand the pride that would drive such feelings, but he is also claiming crimes of extremists of the people of Crimea and a blockade of that nation and has asked for UN assistance in negotiations, Obama has almost adopted an us vs. them attitude of the Cold War and proceeds with only two options, to stand on one side or the other. Some of his comments on policies on this crisis are as levelheaded as asking a Miss America contestant being asked a question of world politics. Obama is truly an embarrassment to our nation. It is high time we need a leader who will lead us and stand on the side of the right when facing other world leaders. We as a nation deserve better.
