Obama strikes a deal with China for the two great powers to fight climate change by jointly reducing carbon emissions, while Boehner and McConnell are strutting around promising to build the XL pipeline in order enable the largest and most toxic release of carbon into the earths atmosphere of our lifetime. The stark choice here is between a vision for a sustainable future and the prospect of spending the rest of our lives under the same rock with the Speaker of the House and the Majority Leader of the Senate.
