Obfuscators like Sean Hannity (and Id even put Chris Mathews in this category) spout un-fact-checked vitriol- and these are the people that are educating our nation on world issues. Wake up and change the channel. Watch John Oliver or something- he at least makes an attempt to explain from a different world-view. I am quite impressed with Russel Brand here; start the video from around 10:20 (if you dont want to watch the whole thing) for a more unbiased approach to understanding the issue from the start, not the middle, of the conflict. The media used these same tactics with Ferguson (remember that little crisis that flooded the airwaves for a week or two there?) to denounce those exercising their first amendment rights and to protect the police who have been found to have committed untold atrocities in that town and towns like it around the country. Russel Brand is right- we need more love, more patience, more empathy. We need human rights in Palestine and Gaza for the innocent civilians caught in the middle.
