Obit for Jim, Al & Robert Jonass Mother: In Loving Memory of Anita Teich Jonas January 23, 1933 - April 1, 2014 Obituary Anita Teich Jonas 81 born January 21, 1933 to Benjamin and Rae Teich in New York City, New York. Moved to Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania as a young child. Youngest of four children and the only daughter. Her brothers were Harold, Marty and Alfred. Anita married Jack Murray Jonas in New York City on May 3, 1953. Moved to St. Pete Beach, Florida in 1955 to Vina del Mar where she resided until January of 2010. She gave birth to identical twins, Alfred and James on March 12, 1955 and to another son, Robert on June 4, 1960. She worked alongside her husband in their family business, Jonas Construction Company and Jonas Realty. She was a real estate broker. She always did whatever she could to help her friends who were interested in entering the profession through mentoring them and in some cases, giving them their first office to hang their license. She was a member of the Pinellas County Realtors Association. Anita loved her family immensely and was a beautiful and loyal friend to all. Her home was always open and she did all she could to help anyone in need. Her front door was never locked and if it was, everyone knew the key was under the statues head. She was a long-time member of Congregation B’nai Israel in St. Petersburg and member of Hadassah. Anita had a great sense of humor. She was always sharing cute jokes that she heard or funny stories to make you laugh. She loved her grandchildren, Jack, Antoinette and Jesse with all of her heart. They were her pride and joy. She went to every school and athletic event and every one of Antoinette’s dance recitals. She was a great mother and mother-in-law. She was loving and giving and would do whatever she could to be supportive. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack; her parents, her brothers and her grandchild, Jesse. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Suncoast Hospice Burgundy Team for everything that they did for their mother. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Suncoast Hospice Foundation 5771-Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Fl. 33760 or to the charity of your choice. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Chapel Hill Memorial Park 12905 Wild Acres Road, Largo.
