Obituary for Roger Dale Bowman DANVILLE: Roger Dale Bowman, 65, passed away Sunday September 22, 2013. He was born October 7, 1947 to the late Leo and Margie Middleton Bowman and preceded in death by his loving partner, Angela Cogar. Mr. Bowman was a passionate writer and enjoyed following and discussing politics. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed following his favorite driver, Kasey Kahne. Mr. Bowman is survived by three sons, Roger Dale (Susan) Bowman II, and Christopher Kennedy Bowman, both of Louisville, Eric Todd Bowman (Emilie) of Lancaster, five grandchildren, Christopher, Austin, Alex, McCartney, and Delton Bowman, a sister Cheryl (Tom) Johnson of Stanford. A sister, Patty Routin and lifelong friend Jim McKee, also preceded Mr. Bowman in death. Funeral service will be 11:30a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with Avery Watkins officiating. Burial will be 1:30p.m., at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 8:30 – 10:30a.m. Casket bearers will be Rhonda Watkins, Jeff Hixon, Ralph Boyd, Dillion Shifflett, Austin Bowman, and Tom Johnson.
