Objective of The St. Maarten / Saint Martin Christian Council as stated in the constitution of September 4, 2006: a. To provide a forum in which the Christian churches in Sint Maarten & Saint Martin( French & Dutch side) take counsel together; b. To give witness to Christian values trough cooperative ventures among the churches as we serve the spiritual, moral educational, social and economic welfare of our people; c. To consider and study and tackle the problems that challenge the Christian way of life; d. To promote cooperative action based on a common vision and policy among participant churches in serving the spiritual, moral educational and social welfare of the island nation; e. To from time to time make clear by public statements and other appropriate means the spiritual and moral principals involved in public issues in the light of Christian ideals and standards; f. To establish and maintain communication and cooperation with other Christian Councils & Agencies; g. To decide on specific policies for joint action and if need be joint funding for such; h. To provide liaison with any sector of the society.
