Oblivion deserved a better fate than it received at the theaters. - TopicsExpress

Oblivion deserved a better fate than it received at the theaters. Intelligent audiences I am sure enjoyed this movie, however action crazies might have found themselves waiting for the next scene. As happens with many movies, misleading marketing of television ads had viewers expecting Oblivion to be a high action sci-fi, rather than a crisply done intelligent move. Beautifully filmed Oblivion takes you on a journey that gives the viewer a chance to think, rather than viewing an action packed visual onslaught. Oblivion puts a viewer in the position of trying to figure who Jack Harper is. Some will think Oblivion is slow. What we do see is character staging tied in with story telling reminiscent of stories by the likes of Arthur C. Clark, Isaac Azimov or maybe even Philip K. Dick.
