Observation!!!! Ive come to learn that many preachers preach for other preachers!!! The effort to impress one another with our skills and abilities to lift up and bring out of the text that which details our academic matriculation! While we are flexing for one another and sermon tasting, the people often leave hungry and wondering what just happened! Feeling violated and move through life ill-equipped! If Im a lost person and there are those who a marked and mandated to deliver unto me The Good News of Christ - how am I blamed if when I hear this Good News and its over my head and I cant relate because it doesnt minister to me in this life? The Gospel of Christ Is to Relate - He Came Down to Lift Up! While the other preachers say, Doc, you brought it home - but my question is, To Whom! Many bring it home (The Closing) but fail to bring the congregation along for the journey through the terrain of the text! Ive concluded that Id rather God be pleased, the people be blessed, than for the other preachers to be impressed!!!!
