Observation from just living long enough to watch this happen a few times now: After every election, the side that loses whines that people were just not smart enough to see things their way, and the side that wins, gloats and says, see, I told you so and then everybody complains about how nobody can get along and cooperate with each other any longer... Duh, I wonder why. All the Democrats thought Obama was the savior; they found out they were wrong... All the Republicans think that now that they have taken over everything is going to magically get better... They are wrong. If you are counting on the people you put in office to fix things you are going to sadly wait forever. We need to stop asking politicians of any party to take care of OUR responsibilities. We will never see change (for the good) until we realize that making good things happen is OUR responsibility not the governments. We can sit around and blame each other, or gloat all we want, and all we will do is continue to go down hill, or, we can realize that real change occurs when everyday people (those referred to in the government BY the people) get off their butts and start getting involved in whats going on around them and start effecting the change they so desperately claim to want. Its not congress job folks: its mine and its yours. And its gotta start somewhere. Might as well be with me and you.
