Observations from my childhood: 1) Never discount anybody, always give them the benefit of the doubt. You will find your best allies among the persecuted and down trodden. 2) Want a friend, then be a friend. 3) Love and help your neighbor until it hurts. 4) Relatives generally make us appreciate our friends. 5) Expensive toys lose their luster very quickly but friends and family shine on. Tommy PS In the end, our greatest treasures are our friends, neighbors, family and the wonders of nature. Amazing how little material wealth we need to be truly happy.
