Observed 43rd Victory Day Southern University Bangladesh observed the 43rd Victory Day of the nation with due solemnity to pay respect to the freedom fighters and political leaders for their enormous contributions to liberate the country from the occupied Pakistani forces on 16th December 1971. The day started with raising the national flag along with Southern and BNCC flag. A discussion meeting and a cultural program was organized at Auditorium, which was presided over by the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sharifuzzaman where the University Founder Mr. Sarwar Jahan, Dean of Business Administration Prof. Dr. Abdul Moqtadir, Head of Civil Engineering Prof. Engr. Ali Ashraf, Adviser of Law Dept. Prof. M. Mohiuddin Khaled, Head of Business Administration Mrs. Ishrat Jahan and Registrar Dr. Mantazul Islam Chowdhury were also participated in the discussion session. A large number of students, Faculty Members, and officials were present in the program. After the discussion ceremony guests were inspected a wall paper exhibition designed by the students of different departments have conceptualized different themes concerning Bangale movement, culture, liberation war etc. on their wall. In the second session, an enthralling cultural program held in participation with the students of the University. Songs, with spirit of independence, were delivered by the participants, while pantomime and recitation were also performed. After that a film festival were arranged.
