Occasionally, responsible pet owners may find themselves unable to - TopicsExpress

Occasionally, responsible pet owners may find themselves unable to care for their beloved pet. These situations include elderly or injured pet owners, owners who have obtained pets with extreme behavior conditions, owners who have brought a new family member into the household that is incompatible with the pet (babies, significant others with allergies or extreme fear of pets), etc. In these situations its extremely important to create a well-thought out plan for re-homing your pet. Unfortunate, avoidable situations are created when owners do not create such plans as was seen with Kai, the Shar-Pei who was abandoned at a train station in Scotland. Kais story ended well due to the efforts of a multitude of big-hearted animal lovers, but such an ending is not seen with many abandoned pets. Check out Kais story below and be sure to read the postings from PetFinder and the Dayton SICSA organization in the event that you need to rehome your pet!
