Occupy Little Rock was one of the first groups to jump on the threat of eminent domain several neighborhoods were facing after being selected by the Little Rock Technology Park Authority. Today, thanks to the constant pressure by a diverse coalition, the authority finally selected a site that will not displace a single person. The sad legacy of destructive urban renewal in Arkansass capital city will NOT have another chapter tomorrow thanks to the dogged persistence of people who care about their town and the people in it. Never underestimate the power of well-organized public pressure. -cf-
