Occupy Mon$anDOW: Day 6 So ground forces report Monsanto hasnt - TopicsExpress

Occupy Mon$anDOW: Day 6 So ground forces report Monsanto hasnt magically dissappeared since the election so we are still holding down our space right in their face. Current needs: Ice and good company, folks who can confidently hold space to provide periodic breaks (esp. the daily a.m. bathroom break still a pressing concern). Serious wind resistant sun protection would be killer gravy. We voted Yes on the 4th, Occupy Light Brigadeers taking our show on the road, putting any who would mess with our Yes to tests campaign on notice, and celebrated our V-Day on Day 5. But far from over, so what NEXT? First things first: a lot of our signage on Maui just became irrelevant. Contact Deb Creagh for recycling. Thanks to her and all the other rock star Aloha Aīna Warriors pushing so hard for our public safety and will of the People. Enthusiastic supporters been showing love and kept the energy high, positive, and focused on creating sustaining change. Thanks Ryan Burden and Hogan for dropping off the juiciest coconuts. The trees Maikai and downwind are looking pretty sickly. The site here will need decades of bioremediation. We are just seeding that effort. Any sustained Occupation will need to steward the site, eventually the DoT will want the few grass thats survived the spraying in the State Land lawn there cut. But wonder if we might community garden the landscape there someday our budding encampment where we present a stark side by side contrast, an Anti-Mon$anDOW-Land. Lot of rows to hoe and bridges to build before were there.
