Occupying the former site of Nicks Family Restaurant is now Raes - TopicsExpress

Occupying the former site of Nicks Family Restaurant is now Raes Café, 5701 Central Ave, St Pete and they are just having their soft opening(which I believe ends tomorrow). The place has been completely remodeled and looks very neat and clean. I had the country fried steak and eggs which came with home fries and an English muffin. The sausage gravy covering the country fried steak (2 good sized pieces) was home made and delicious! The eggs and home fries were hot and fresh as well. The Queen ordered a bacon, cheese and avocado omelet and was very pleased as well ( and omelet you know right now, that aint easy to do!). The service was good and friendly. Well definitely be back! I plan on trying the home made corned beef hash nest time. Looks like breakfast and lunch only. 7am - 3pm, 7 days a week.
