Ocean currents are the single greatest influence on the worlds climate patterns. Overall temperatures are climbing due mainly to the greenhouse effect, which man contributes to by burning fossil fuels. Now, global warming has increased to the point that the ocean currents are responding. Scientists who study climate change have been warning for a decade that this will happen. It would be a good idea if more people understood the details of what they are telling us.
