Oct 24 Yes, the season of Scorpio. Oak leaves bronze and drop upon the roots of the great tree forming another layer of mulch to protect then, after, decomposition, nourish the roots. What in us must drop like scarlet maple leaves and allow the wind to deposit us? Let’s feel our roots, especially if it’s your birthday, and extend that awareness through the trunk of our tree to our limbs and let go of the old leaves. Now, feel the power of the entirety of the tree and the sacredness of Life because the Sun’s apparent decent with shorter days and colder nights threatens our safety and survival just a little more. We must be strong. We must be courageous. Our passion…our feeling… for our mission and purpose for living must be the fuel which keeps the fires lit for the coming winter. To choose otherwise is the path to despair. The shadow can consume us. We are always surrounded by Dark Matter pushing in on us encouraging us to expand our Light into Form. So fear not the dark. Move through it. Drop the leaves. Take in a Summer’s full of compost through your roots before the proverbial ground freezes. The gardening calendar says to turn the compost.
